She has got about ten on each leg, few on her arms, a hand full on her bottom cheeks. Couple on shoulders non on chest or tummy, back or face.

She did say she wasn’t feeling to good yesterday but no temp and it was short lived!

Could they be bites? We don’t have pets.

She’s due in school in a week! 🥴

Chicken pox is usually described as a “dew drop on a rose petal” In that it’s normally a tiny liquid blister centre on a pink flat spot. I can’t tell from the pictures.

Wallabyone · 24/08/2020 21:13

It does look like it could be-they will increase pretty rapidly if it is CP.

Worse case even if they are they aren’t contiguous after 5ish days so you should be fine for school. Ds had a week off nursery for it, scabs left but he was fine.

I’d see how they next few days are. You will be able to tell if they multiple quickly

I would say that those spots (third one in particular) are the pox.

Byallmeans · 24/08/2020 21:20

Thanks for responses. I can’t seem to see any pustules I’ll have to keep a close eye on them 😬

Check her hair, they tend to appear in 'hot' spots, if CP they will pop up rapidly every cycle 12/24 hrs apart

Stressedmummyof4 · 24/08/2020 21:33

You might already know this but just incase they are you should never give Ibuprofen x

doctorboo · 24/08/2020 21:38

Has she been in a hot tub or chlorinated water at all? Hot tub rash (chemically treated water that’s not got the levels right) looks like chicken pox and can be itchy too.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 24/08/2020 21:57

They don't really look like blistery chicken pox spots to me.

I do but it’s always worth mentioning on (suspected) CP threads.

I really hope not for your sake! When my twins had it, it started with similar looking spots, for a few days there weren’t too many and then they exploded. First twin needed two weeks off, then the day he went back second twin started with them and needed two weeks off - took that long for them to come out and all crust. It was really bad and they both needed antibiotics but I know others for whom it was quite mild so fingers crossed.

Best things we found were Piriton (or Phenergan if piriton isn’t strong enough) and Eurax cream, plus oats in the bath. Hope it’s not though!
