Has anyone sold to them and can help me understand the process?

Their online estimate says they'll give me around £1500 more for my car than a garage has offered me for part exchange, but I need to know exactly how much I'll get to know what the budget is for my new car.

I need about 1-2 weeks between finding out how much it is worth and giving up the car so I can arrange a small loan and find/buy my new car, but I cant be without the old car for that long as I need it daily for work.

Do you have to give them the car there and then or do they say this estimate is valid for 2 weeks or something?

£1500 is a lot of money, but it seems like a lot more hassle than part exchanging!

I sold my car to Evans Halshaw. I did initially got to WBAC but didn't realise they charge a ridiculous admin type fee, so sacked them off. Was happy with the process at Evans Halshaw.

Oh, this is interesting. I sold a car to them and had none of the teeth sucking. Got what I was quoted, couldn't have been easier. Dropped the car off at their hub, got a taxi home, got the money in my account 2 days later.

There's no mystery to that. Cars depreciate from day one, and trade prices adjust on a monthly basis to take into account the extra month's age and an extra month's mileage.

We sold our car with WBAC last week.

Second hand dealers were selling them for £8k.
We were offered £6800 as a trade in price against a new car.
A local dealer offered us £4750
We needed over £5000.

WBAC offered £7300 but DH didn't include all the damage or the fact it only had a few months of MOT left. It had a big dent in the side, stone chips on the front bumper, big chips out the back bumper and lots of wear on the inside.

WBAC offered £5500 on the day and we negotiated up to £6079 which covered their admin fees.

We paid the extra £25 to have the money in our account in two hours.

I have heard horror stories but we were happy with what we got.
