Does the bedroom tax apply if a member of the household goes to university

Ds1 has decided to go into halls for university this year. Will I be taxed for having an extra bedroom? He will be home in the holidays as he’s not going far.

I don’t think so, as technically he still lives at home. So long as he still plans to come home in the hols...
