How to prevent lots of spiders - any methods?

Spider season is upon us :(
I’ve done usual tricks - lemon spray and scent around but is there anything else I can try?
I’m working from home alone from next week and can’t handle the beasts alone 😭

I'm trying peppermint oil sprayed around this year. I've give each skirting board a good clean and cleaned behind all the furniture and give a spray

Buy new slippers, ones with a good hard sole
