Can I recall an email on outlook?

Yes you can. You need to go to sent items folder, open the email and there will be a'recall message' option in the ribbon at the top of the email. Think there is also an option to have it confirmed whether the recall worked or not as you can only recall it if it hasn't already been opened. Hope that helps!

As above - open the sent email, and you should have a recall / recall-and-resend option. If you cannot see it on the ribbon, find 'Actions' on the ribbon and it will be one of the options from there.

I'm trying to do it from my mobile and can't see any option to recall

I believe you can but do be aware the recipient will be notified of the recall (either alongside the original message or instead of the original message). This may do more to alert them to the mistake than just leaving it, or just sending a follow up message to clarify, or sending them the same message again with the mistake corrected.

I'm in a mess. It's work. Sent to wrong person and have until 9am to recall. Kids mivering me early and I made a mistake

If it is to work email within a network you can recall, but if it has gone to outside the work network via a mail server, then it doesn’t work.

Unfortunately, there's no way to undo the sending of emails in the Outlook apps for Android and iOS—if you want to be able to bring back your messages, you'll need to use the website or the desktop application.

Eggysmum instruction worked for me on laptop - open the email in your sent emails, click on actions (mine is near the 'move' icon) and recall from there

I've just looked and I can still recall messages that I've had replies to so I don't think it can be that.

I've sent it from my outlook to an organisation email so I don't think I can recall it - just had a google! I feel like crying. Thank you for replies.

Whenever someone has recalled an email from me, the recall message has included the original email so it doesn't actually stop the recipient seeing the content, but rather just serves to alert them that it was a mistake/the content was wrong. If you can't recall then sending a follow up email stating it wasn't intended for them and asking them to delete it would serve the same purpose.

It's some attachments that were sent with the email, it's not so bad the actual email but more the attachments.

you can.
but (BIG caveat) if the other party has already read the email and archived it then it's too late to do anything.

at my workplace we are not allowed to recall email or other communication. we havd to follow it up with an email explaining what happened and what the other party needs to do with this miscommunication.
and then we need to fill in an impact assessment form and explain to line manager which is a right pain.

I think the best thing to do would be to send an urgent flagged email saying your original was sent in error and please to delete unread.

op you need to view your work's policies on wrong sendings and speak to your manager.
also have a look at data protection and gdpr policies.

I think its damage limitation then.

Send a carefully worded follow up email apologising but saying they are not the intended recipient, as such to delete the email and attachments.

How potentially damaging is this? Is it just you who will look careless or is it damaging to your company/ GDPR breach? If it's the latter, you might need to speak to your manager before doing anything....

It's really not that bad/damaging and definitely does not breach GDPR.
I've just followed up with an email explaining. I just feel really stupid.
