Will your students be "allowed" to wear these in class if they choose to?

No, I'm not a troll. I just have someone going back to year 9 in September who really wants to wear one.

They are allowed to if they wish to in Scotland

I’m not sure, but I’d advise against it- if your DC is the only one, there could be teasing. Additionally, my DC say they’re worried about acne. Another factor is other students needing to lip read. They’re mainly worn to protect others, not the wearer!
