Would you stay or would you sell?

A year ago we moved into a terraced house. It's extended so has six bedrooms, a large conservatory and a big garden. Its on a road, and the outside needs a bit of work (drive, dated pebbledash, old front door).
Inside, we've painted it throughout aside from the hall which needs doing but there's a leaky conservatory and the bottom of the garden isn't that tidy/great.
Because DH has basically been told his office is shutting down and he'll work remotely for as long as he works at that company, we're wondering whether we should see if we can make the most of the stamp duty holiday and sell, and move to a village about 40 mins away that we always planned to go to next, but couldn't due to DH's work.
I'm wondering if it's feasible though or just a flight of fancy.

You need to get a valuation from an estate agent. We are going on the market, although the stamp duty holiday means we are pushing it through earlier than planned, and the house is not perfect yet.

That's the first step in our plan but I'm half wondering if it's worth it as we weren't planning on selling any time soon originally and the house is far from perfect! Good luck with yours, have you found something?

We're not sure of our budget yet. We're downsizing. The first valuation has been surprisingly high, so we'll see what the next two say. Nothing in the area we want meets our criteria yet, but we need to get a buyer and be ready to go as soon as something comes up.
