Best shoe to wear with a formfit walking boot after breaking my ankle.

Morning all! So I broke my ankle in three places and after nearly 6 weeks in a cast I was fitted for a boot yesterday and I'm allowed to start partial weight bearing this coming Monday. Up until now I've been wearing a croc on my good foot to hop about in with my frame but was told yesterday that this won't do with the boot as it's not secure or high enough and they suggested trainers. I don't actually own a pair of trainers so will need to buy some this week and I was wondering if anyone who had been in a similar position or knows someone who was could recommend some good ones to me? Price isn't too much of an issue but less than £50 would be good.

I was thinking something like the Skechers gowalk ones maybe? Or maybe something like karrimor walking trainers? I really have no idea as I'm usually a platform boot person (which is what landed me here in the first place so I'll be getting rid of them).

Thank you in advance!

Skechers, fitflop trainers or something like Ecco.
I did my ankle in which was followed by plantar fascitis just for good measure and Skechers were perfect. I'm now never without a pair.

I'd forgotten about fitflop @ScorpioSphinxInACalicoDress I'll check them out! Thank you!

I've done a right number on it, had to have metal pins and plates put in it and everything.

I've been looking at the gowalks for a while as I already suffered with plantar fasciitis and was looking for something light and comfy for walks.
