Hampton court palace? Or Hobbledown I wouldn't say it was too similar really.

Take a boat trip from Kingston either down the Thames to Hampton Court or up to Richmond

You can get a bus from Chessington into Kingston if you don’t want to worry about parking.
The market square is pretty and has some good food stalls too.

Bocketts Farm, just outside Leatherhead is lovely too, very pretty location and lots of play areas, plus the usual farm animals.
It’s only about 20 minute drive from Chessington.

There are several places hiring out private boats too that you take up the river. Google boat hire Hampton to see what’s on offer.

Another yes for Bocketts Farm or Hobbledown.

If you want to do a boat trip then Turks from either Kingston or Richmond, they are alternating days and doing a round trip without stops. You could hire a boat from Go Boat but it's expensive. Or you could go a bit further afield to Legoland in Windsor?

Time2change2 · 18/08/2020 01:07

I wouldn’t bother with hobbledown- last I heard it was Restricting visits to 3 hours and Charing the same extortionate prices!

Is Chessington zoo the same as the theme park?

Timetospare · 18/08/2020 08:57

If your family is into cars then these places near Weybridge could be suitable. It’s about 45 mins by car from Chessington
