Lipodema, SEN DD and raging anxiety. Help!

I'm at the end of my tether. Dealing with twin DCs over lockdown. One has SEN and adhd so it's been a trial. Plus my legs are in agony with lipodema and I now can barely stand for any length of time. They're swollen and huge. My anxiety is through the roof. I can't talk to anyone about it in RL. I just want schools to start again but I'm also worried about losing my job as I've been on furlough since March. DH working all hours so I don't want to worry him with my concerns. Help! What can I do?

Hello, it sounds very tough.

Re: Lipoedema have you got compression tights? You can get a made to measure pair from the NHS - I got mine through the Lymphodema nurse but she had heard of Lipoedema.

There is some good groups on Facebook that are friendly and supportive - Global Lipoedema Awareness is good for surgery and
Lipoedema and food sensitivities- take control of your life
Is good for non-sugerical methods

The lymphoedema team I’m under also treat lipoedema so I’d echo PP and say def worth a try. And if lipo is anything like lymph, compression will help with the horrible ache.
