"Little girl" school shoes for big feet?

SuperEkstra · 14/08/2020 19:45

DD is 7 and about to go into Y3. She is very, very tall and naturally has feet to match! She's a size 3. All shoes in her size seem to be either brogues or slip on loafers, neither of which are really suitable (and she hates them!). Most "little girl" Mary Jane style shoes seem to stop at 2.5. Any ideas??

I was getting a pop up advert on here for school uniform with some lovely shoes that I would wear. It's gone now of course.

Dr martins? I had some in primary school- the only girly shoes that fit me

Look for Ricosta or Ecco shoes. Pricey but very good quality and DD wore them until she started secondary and was a size 4.

ArchbishopOfBanterbury · 14/08/2020 20:40

@suriv those stop at 2.5-3. They're cute though.

It's worth checking the measure though (you print at home). My DS has size 2.5 Clark's but is a 1.5 - 2 from treads. They have a removable inner sole to adjust the size by half a size

TattiePants · 14/08/2020 21:00

Clarks definitely have a couple of styles as we were school shoe shopping yesterday. Look at their Scala and Tizz range. DD is 9 and a size 5 so even more limited, especially as her D-E width means Next, M&S etc are no good.

TattiePants · 14/08/2020 21:06

Actually the Clarks Outlet have lots in a 3.

Clutterbugsmum · 14/08/2020 21:08
