Reins vs no reins
Foreign travel vs Staycation
Going out vs staying in
Grey vs colourful decor
Is it just me or is MN particularly full of threads inviting divisive debate?
And I lurve a bit of lively debate, I am quite happy to state my position forcefully but I also love hearing the opposing argument
And I love the fact that we are all different. This is not a liberal, wishy-washy stance, but a call to arms to celebrate diverse tastes, lifestyles, personalities, food preferences (shall we decide on The Best Cocktail?!) etc etc.
Being odd is underrated, swimming against the stream is HARD and not necessarily wrong, being part of the majority neither. I do hate opinions being shouted down or dismissed with sarcasm and snide remarks.
Life needs quirks and alternative takes on challenges and I find while on the one hand we live in an 'anything goes' world, OTOH social norms can be quite restrictive.
So, a thread full of kindness and appreciation of The Other.
I give you DS4's 'improvement' of a recent photo
- he is my creative aka quirky one.
