Just adore her. Finally one of the main presenters on This Morning today (guilty pleasure tv during my summer holidays)

She is so genuine warm and the bes r personality on the show Smile

OP posts:

Her brownies were hilarious when she said about it being dry and Holly suggested adding the eggs! This was after she added baking powder and said she had no idea what it does because she's forgotten loads of times and they've turned out the same.

She's just so human and relatable.

I have a recipe for banana cake I'm trying to get "fixed" at the moment and whether I add b.powder or not seems to have little effect..

So yes to relatable!

Chipping in to say I love her too. She's so funny, natural and a little bit crazy. I love her celeb interviews.
Cannot abide P&H. They're time needs to be over. Love Ruth and Eamon.

Gremlinpoop · 14/08/2020 17:33

Don't watch this morning, can't stand Phil and Holly. Absolutely give Alison the job and Ruth.
Is Andy peters back then? I remember him from kids TV always wondered where he disappearing off to. Get him back also please!

Iusedtobecarmen · 14/08/2020 17:34

Love her
Absolutely hilarious and so normal
The interviews are great fun and every one seems to warm to her and totally get her.

The weather map clip is side splitting.
Love the brownies recipe a while ago too, when as someone said ,she missed out the baking powder.
Need to watch it to get it

Loved her today with Rochelle
The beauty bit was so funny with her putting the hair treatment on her legs!

Love Alison. It is time for Philip and Holly to move on, they are so unrelatable and out of touch with real life, whatever they might think. I love when they film at Alison’s house and it is a very nice but super normal new build (hopefully her actual house not a set lol!). She is definitely worth so much more than a side presenter.

SandysMam · 14/08/2020 17:38

P.S Alison, if you started this thread, mission accomplished Grin

I also love her and I adore Andi Peters. He mentioned his age today and I can't believe it! He looks so young. They are both absolutely brilliant and need more air time!

Mrsjayy · 14/08/2020 18:13

Andi Peters was 50 last week/week before he puts his agelessness down to olive oil on his skin

awaynboilyurheid · 14/08/2020 18:55

Oh dear seems I’m in a minority, oh well, cannot stand the woman and her phoney laughing at everything . just think It’s so forced and false all that silly stuff is just for cameras it’s like poor slapstick . Saying that I’m not keen on Holly and Phil either! Talentless and overpaid all of them

JoyDivisionOvenGlovesx · 14/08/2020 19:06

Adding my voice to say that I also find her really watchable, warm and genuine. Find myself just smiling unforced when watching her.

And same for Andi Peters. I think I’d assumed he was annoying for years, but I’m not sure what I was basing that on. But now, I’ve really warmed to him and find him very watchable.

EvilRingahBitch · 14/08/2020 19:18

She was so much fun on Strictly that I even forgot to be jealous of her for dancing with the lovely Aljaz. I find some of the “comedy” contestants on Strictly absolutely teethgratingly annoying but she struck just the right note.

I haven’t seen any of her celebrity interviews though, thanks for flagging them up.

GlummyMcGlummerson · 14/08/2020 19:21

She's fantastic, considering she left really early on BB she's come so far. Her interview with Ryan Gosling was hilarious

AnaadiNitya · 14/08/2020 19:24

I love her and she hasn’t changed from a zillion years ago on the first big brothers. Actors live doing interviews with her as they get asked the same boring questions over and over again but she is so lively!

I think Phil and hollys time is up on this morning, I won’t watch it if it’s on. Really like Ruth and Eamon too.

Katjolo · 14/08/2020 19:31

Love her too. So funny and enthusiastic.

JacobReesMogadishu · 14/08/2020 19:31

I feel a bit sorry for Andi Peters, he seems so much nicer than Schofield and a better presenter and he has a tiny role compared to Schofield.

LouisBalfour · 14/08/2020 19:35

I love Alison too. She has managed to make Rochelle tolerable today and I can't do more than 5 minutes of her normally.

I also love Andi Peters.

Time for Holly and Phil to go.

Cecilia2016 · 14/08/2020 19:38

@ballsdeep

Love love love her! She's me favourite on TV . She is hilarious. The clip of when she jumped on the weather map and knocked the sailor into the Thames is one of my all time favourite clips
That is my favourite one too.🤣
SunshineCake · 14/08/2020 19:40

Yes, LouisBalfour! I usually turn off when it is RH but I like Alison more than I dislike R but it was interesting how different R was with A.

itsgettingweird · 14/08/2020 19:49

And oh my word she's a door handle hero.

My flaw in life (I call it my Miranda moment) is catching my sleeves or bag or pocket or myself on every door handle I pass.

The fact she does the same, does it on tv and acts like it's totally normal is what else makes her relatable.

Mrsjayy · 14/08/2020 20:22

Door handle hero Grin

BathshebaKnickerStickers · 14/08/2020 20:31

I adore Rylan, and I adore Alison.

If they had a daytime gig

  • they wouldn’t need any guests
  • I might have to give up work
Wishihadanalgorithm · 14/08/2020 20:47

My friend knows her a little bit and says she is just lovely in real life. What you see on TV is what she is like the rest of the time. Alison is someone many women can relate to and I think she should be on TV more than she is.
