I am petrified of thunderstorms

I have always been petrified of thunderstorms and then am now a single parent so in the house on my own with my children. I literally won’t be able to sleep tonight because it’s pouring with rain and thundering and lightening. This morning at 7.30 there was one massive loud bang of thunder which woke me up and scared me.
I’m scared the house will get struck by lightening (terraced 3 story house)
I’m scared we’ll have a power cut and I hate the thought of being in pitch black using a torch.
I know I’m being ridiculous!

I hate them too, particularly at night. If there’s one at night time I put the lamps in the bedroom on and watch something on my iPad until it’s calmed down again. Doesn’t make me very popular with DH but then he’s usually woken up by the storm anyway.

Honestly it's all in you're head I used to be the same my partner works away most of the tine I have an 8 month old I used to have really bad anxiety about being on my own I promise everything will be ok try and relax and think of positive rather than the negative x
