What are my rights here? Not delivering the goods.

8 weeks ago I contacted a local company that does window blinds. It was just as restrictions were starting to lift and they were quick to respond and come and and measure.

I agreed to order blinds made to measure at a cost of £250. I didn’t pay there and then, payment on delivery they said. They’ll be about 2 weeks I was told.

Fast forward to now and despite repeated promises, loads of excuses about family illness, backlogs etc still no blinds.

They don’t reply to messenger, no phone number to call on their Facebook page and they claim to be having problems with their business page when they do eventually reply.

I’m just sick of waiting now, would rather contact another company and get the blinds but I’m also aware these are made to measure and are probably sitting somewhere (maybe)??

So, I’ve messaged them yet again and also emailed them to say I’ve had enough of waiting and want to cancel. How long should I wait with no reply as until they confirm I’m not getting them I’m just in limbo. I’m afraid they’ll make turn up with them and expect me to pay.

Any advice here please? Is there a time limit I should be waiting for a response for until I can assume I’m not getting the goods?

I should imagine they are about to go under. Use another company. They have not communicated with you at all and you have been reasonable about expectations.
