Yes. I would say so. It looks quite dry. You really need to before & after photo though to tell properly.

FenellaMaxwell · 12/08/2020 12:05

It is, yes - you can see where the edges are starting to draw in.

Lardlizard · 12/08/2020 12:07

it’s itching but I guess that’s a good sign of healing? Not particularly painful
Just wary of infections

i'd say so too....a little redness around and about but it doesn't look angry

I'd keep it clean, and let the air get at it....I believe that is old fashioned though, it's all about those fancy hydrocolloid plasters these days :o

...maybe moisturise the edges if it's scratchy, but only with something really plain and don't make it angry!

Welcometothelifeboatparty · 12/08/2020 12:07

I think it is, too. Looks bloody deep, though. Ouch!

Lardlizard · 12/08/2020 12:11

Bit closer up

Yes it looks to be healing. Itching is normal.

Looks like a nasty cut though!

Lardlizard · 12/08/2020 12:17

Yes it did bleed a lot !

Thanks for your thoughts, will just keep an eye on it then

AriettyHomily · 12/08/2020 12:22

Yes it looks like it is. Are they stitch marks at the top?

tara66 · 12/08/2020 13:12

It looks at the moment as though it might open if knocked. Can you protect it? How old is it?

Lardlizard · 12/08/2020 16:00

It was stiched yes, one of them burst
It is covered with a dressing

OP posts:
AdaColeman · 12/08/2020 16:17

Yes, it does look as though it's healing. Is the area hot to the touch? I'd be inclined to keep a light dressing on it during the day, just to protect it against knocks.

Lardlizard · 12/08/2020 16:22

Not hot to the touch

TheHighestSardine · 12/08/2020 16:38

That looks really healthy - must be the lizardy regeneration :)

AdaColeman · 12/08/2020 16:39

Good that it isn't feeling hot.

Lardlizard · 12/08/2020 16:53
