bought myself some shoes that should help. They are ugly looking and I look like I’m in my 70’s.

I set up my new sewing machine after not using one since sewing class at school in 1983. It’s been sitting there in the utility room, making me feel slightly nervous, since it was delivered last week so I bit the bullet and had a go this afternoon and really enjoyed practising with it.

Today I have done nothing but sweat and pray for rain.

Drank a lot more water and actually ate some fruit. Not hugely overweight but motivated to try and lose it before my hip replacement. Had all my pre-op assessments. Just waiting for a date!

Built a bed. It was 2nd hand so bits of it were assembled so the instructions were confusing. We ran out of screws, but it seems solid nonetheless. And it's not in the right' place but is just too heavy to move

Went for a short walk. Bought the DC some outside play equipment. Flopped around a bit. It's too hot, no rain or storms here.

Finished a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. Mike Jupp, so I didn’t die of boredom making it.

I went to a socially distanced Hawaiian themed birthday picnic. Odd and great fun at the same time.
