Is this worth starting to watch?

Yes it's great.

Ooh yes . Although I thought it was taken off netflix due to Kevin Spacey.
The first couple of seasons are really really good, then as with most things it goes downhill. Only if you like political dramas though.

I didn’t like one plot arc. No spoilers, but I found it extremely distasteful and I was unable to watch any more.

The original one is brilliant.

The Netflix one starts well but runs out of steam.

I could not watch anything with Kevin Spacey, feel somehow dirty having seen him play Richard III at the theatre.

Any political drama becomes out of date very quickly.

As per my username - yes! We loved it.

UK original is WONDERFUL

The first two seasons were really very good. Then it went a bit downhill. I didn't like the last series or the ending. But that's me. Give it a go if you like political drama. The UK one, though, is pretty perfect TV.

The original is excellent.

The Kevin Spacey one is brilliant in places but there’s a really seedy nasty unpleasantness running through it that is deeply distasteful. There are scenes I wish I hadn’t seen that have stayed with me. The looking at the camera thing really irritated me too.

I’ve seen the first few seasons of the Kevin Spacey one but found it got progressively worse. I didn’t bother continuing as I was already losing interest as the KS drama began to be reported.

It’s great but if you want a seriously good US political drama (and you’ve not seen it), the The West Wing is the best political drama series ever made. Hasn’t dated either.

People think the original is great but I couldn't possibly comment...

The remake is good but the last season sucks.
