Has anyone had a wall mounted air conditioning unit installed in a single room? How much did it cost?

We have some of the portable ones in the bedrooms but are considering either buying another for the living room or getting a wall mounted one. Benefit of the wall mounted one is being able to properly shut the sliding glass doors. However, is it insanely priced? Anyone have a ball park figure?

I paid around £650 about nine years ago. Its well worth the money. It’s in my living room but cools the whole downstairs although to be fair my house is quite small.
I pay £45 a year for servicing.

Just paid £1400+VAT for a wall mounted unit in the master bedroom. Am in London so might be cheaper elsewhere.

Easy enough. I’ve used them for heating but not for cooling so although I’m happy with the service I had I can’t vouch for their cooling side
