I'm getting very tired of waking up in the morning with a stiff and sore back..so enough is enough!

I am quite keen to try one of the many mattresses like Eve, Emma, Simba, Caspar etc but can't decide what to pick!

Has anyone got one and would recommend it? Any to avoid like the plague? Any discount codes you'd like to pass on? Grin

Many thanks in advance!

Hopeful bump

I got the Emma two weeks ago and so far, so good!
Our old mattress was lumpy, so this seems so much bigger (I'm not honed into the one area without lumps).
The weather has been warm, so I can't comment fairly on heat. I'm petite and lie on my side, but reviews online said this is a good all rounder.
It's my first foam mattress : I was relieved that you don't sink in too far.
No problems with feeling DH getting in or out of bed and nothing negative to say about bouncing on the bed 😉

Most have a trial period so worth a go.
I hope you get more reviews OK, good luck!

Easca. Best mattress I've had. Quick delivery. Excellent service.

RavenRituals · 09/08/2020 21:05

Oooh two in favour of the Emma mattress! They have 25% off at the minute and I have one sitting in my basket trying to decide (in the next hour!) if I should go for it or not.

Any sagging or body indents @Charlotte2020? My current mattress is only just 5 years old but there's been indents from our bodies for the last 2 and we are two fairly average people!

Simba mattress 😊 was a god send when I had SPD in pregnancy!

RavenRituals · 09/08/2020 21:07

@Mylittlepony374 interesting! I'm in NI and have never heard of that brand before

Emma improved my back problems dramatically. It is a bit hot though.

OllysArmy · 09/08/2020 21:12

I went from an old Tempur mattress (10 years) to a Simba it was wonderful.
When I stay away from home I now struggle with conventional mattresses.

Disco91 · 09/08/2020 21:13

The Simba! I’d recommend it 100%, it’s completely transformed my sleep. I have autoimmune arthritis that makes my back stiff and this mattress has given me the best nights sleep I have had in years. Best money we’ve spent.

I got it last November and we got the king size mattress, duvet cover, 2 pillows and a free mattress protector for a bundle deal at £780. The website at the moment only has 25% of mattresses (I was looking today for my parents as they are looking into getting this mattress) but I think they alternate between deals, there is always some sort of deal on their website. The duvet is great and regulates your body temp. It’s about £180 though without the bundle offer. Pillows are £100 each.

The only downside is I can’t stay away from home for the night without missing my bed!

MNnicknameforCVthreads · 09/08/2020 21:14

Been very happy with our Simba that we got about 2 years ago

Disco91 · 09/08/2020 21:16

Also I’ve never felt too hot on this mattress, I don’t seem to overheat or toss or turn at all in the night. I’m now 34 weeks pregnant and still sleeping pretty much solidly, on my old mattress when I was last pregnant I could never get comfy and sleep was far worse.

SenorFrog · 09/08/2020 21:17

We got a Nectar Mattress just over two weeks ago, it is bliss, really pleased with it.

norbert23 · 09/08/2020 21:20

Another vote for a simba, I actually got mine from
Ebay as they sell reconditioned ones for a fraction of the price. It's so comfy!

Charlotte2020 · 09/08/2020 21:23

@RavenRituals nope, it's stayed the same as the day we bought it. I was worried when I got it online as I didn't lie on one first but don't regret it.

RavenRituals · 09/08/2020 21:23

@Disco91 I've heard the simba is quite soft? We prefer a medium/firm mattress. Do you find it soft?

OP posts:
NatalieH2220 · 09/08/2020 21:24

I'd recommend Simba. I didn't love it at first as was much firmer than I'd normally choose but now I love it! Currently pregnant so not comfortable but before always had a very good nights sleep on this mattress!

SoVeryLost · 09/08/2020 21:26

Otty. I love the hybrid nature and it’s not as thin as other hybrids. It’s not too firm and not soft at all to me.

GwendolineMarysLaces · 09/08/2020 21:31

I've got a four year old Simba- love it

RavenRituals · 09/08/2020 22:09

I've just ordered the Emma! They have extended their trial period from 100 to 200 days so I thought it was worth trying at least.

Thank you all for your help! Smile

I have had a Nectar mattress for 4 years now. No sagging, every night feels exactly like the first night. My DH is on the large side and theres no sagging on his side either. Really surprised at just how deep the mattress is, does tend to be on the warm side, but you'll get that with any foam mattress.
Apart from the warmth of the mattress, no other issues.
