Where can I find a ‘no excuses accepted!’ Weight loss group?

I need to hear harsh truths. No ‘oh don’t worry, we all fall off the wagon’ gentle approach. It doesn’t work for me.
I need to be told to stop giving tired excuses and take responsibility. Basically, to be reminded that it’s in my control and I need to put effort in.
Is there any thread or group anyone knows of?

I also need this. Maybe a PT who also does nutrition. They can be brutal when needed I'm sure.

Team RH. Find them on Facebook. Richie is no nonsense or bullshit and tells it like it is in his very own way. Swears a lot. Gets great results and you can eat more than you think. You must track your calories and macros though but they work everything out for you. Good luck!

Team RH - he takes no prisoners, he’s very blunt but if you stick rigidly to it it does work (just calories in vs out, macro tracking and walking)

I highly recommend RebelFit on Facebook. Any diet that relies on how long your willpower lasts is shite and will lead to you gaining more weight in the long run. You need to be able to do it yourself, and to do that you need to understand the reasons why you’ve gained weight and stop beating yourself up about it. Chances are it’s a long road of failed ‘diets’ that are designed to fail.

The brutal, take no prisoners approach is what you need for the exercise side. It will make you stronger and you will lose fat, which is much more healthy than aiming to lose weight.

Not that I am 100% successful at any of this... Blush

I like the low carb boot camps here on MN.... supportive but definitely calls you out if needed.

What types of diet have you tried? What works best for you?

PaperPlane · 08/08/2020 08:29

I’ll look into those. Thanks.
I know about the low carb one and although it’s true that I do need to lower carbs, I don’t eat much meat and avoid dairy so struggle with it.

@PaperPlane there are a lot of vegetarian meal ideas on there too, which might work for you?

Macros Inc on Facebook. No ‘diet’ bs.
