Mine are: getting a text from a friend asking me how I am, seeing dog/cat/horse/other funny animal videos that someone's shared on Facebook, telling a joke and somebody actually laughing Grin. Oh, and chocolate.

Yours?

I love seeing my dc happy and running around with their friends outside in the fresh air. Having a coffee with friends. Walking in the countryside, by the canal or the sea. Sharing a bottle of wine with my dp.

Having a relaxing start to the day..
Waking up naturally (no alarm)
Having a coffee in bed while browsing Mumsnet for awhile.
Shower and dressed at leisure, no rushing around.
Ticking things off my ‘to do’ list for the day

Frownette · 05/08/2020 00:28

I can only go by today, but dancing round the lounge with friends, getting a hefty bill paid, a compliment, arranging an appointment for later this week, starting to establish boundaries to detach from my immediate family

Frownette · 05/08/2020 00:30

Oh and figuring out how to do work in my bedroom carefully positioned so it looks 'office'. Foot of the bed was trying to sneak in but I repositioned the screen.

avamiah · 05/08/2020 00:36

I’m 47 now and have a 10 year old daughter, I also have my mum of 83 living with me and believe me they are hard work haha
So when I have a hour to spare I love to watch Prime movies, tv series, especially the old ones from the 80’s.
I’m easily pleased .🤣

FingersCrossedForAllOfUs · 05/08/2020 00:41

What a lovely thread! Thanks OP.
I echo lot’s of the above little things listed by PP’s.

It makes me happy when I see something I really like in my favourite colour, it could be a flower/plant or most recently our new sofa!

FraughtwithGin · 05/08/2020 02:02

My niece (and goddaughter) face timing me to let me see my great-nephew.
WhatsApp conversations with my other niece.
Being outside just now on a cloudless night and enjoying the moon and the peace and quiet.

Moonshinemisses · 05/08/2020 03:41

Hanging out with my older teens for the evening
Eating dinner in the garden & chatting with my Dh (minus the bastard wasps)
My kids calling my mum or going round to see her
Seeing my clean washing all neat & blowing on the line
Facetime with my best friend in Copenhagen
Walking away from work in the early morning & knowing I'm going home to bed while the rest of the world is getting up & ready for the day especially in the winter.

FiveShelties · 05/08/2020 04:11

Spending time with my husband and my gorgeous Sheltie. The sun going down. Walking by the sea, in the woods, down the paths - just being out and about.

Clean washing drying in the sunshine. A good meal with friends. Sharing a bottle of wine. Tidy home.

Lots of things really - I love to smileGrin

A day off work - I'm always much happier at home!

bearlyactive · 05/08/2020 10:00

These have given me some more ideas:

Getting an outfit JUST RIGHT,
Having a good hair day (rare, at the moment),
Scrambled eggs on white toast,
My cat running up to me when I go out in the garden while she's snoozing,
Messaging semi-famous people (authors, actors, singers etc) that I admire and getting a message back,
Watching The Devil Wears Prada/Mamma Mia 2/other light-hearted film,
Cooking something and it turning out all right (ie. edible) Grin
