Do you know an older person who is truly wise?

If you are lucky enough to, what kind of advice do they give? There's only one person I know who I would consider to be truly wise. An older friend, whose advice has never failed me, even when at the time I felt it was wrong. I get the feeling that she's been wise all her life, sort of as a gift really. I was just wondering if anyone else had a special person who they rely on for failsafe advice?

Yes.....a work colleague. She always said exactly the right thing, she was very calming and I always came away feeling better having spoken to her. A lovely lady who I’m very lucky to have as my friend

My mother in law, she's kind, thoughtful, clever and will genuinely help with the other person's best interests at the centre of her advice.

Yes. She is a retired nurse in her 80s, and isn't very well these days. She is very religious, but completely unjudgemental and young in outlook. She's worked in various departments throughout her career and seen it all. She is utterly lovely.

gin my friend is also deeply religious but non-judgmental.

Yes, DP’s mum. She sadly passed away a few years ago. She was wise, very practical in advice and attitude.
