Little things that makes you realise you're an adult?

I don't mean mortgage, kids etc. Little things?

Today I made a quiche, well a crustless one anyway, for the first time ever. Feel like I've earned an adult badge today.

DH and I ordered a new front door a couple of weeks ago. We were excited to browse the catalogue, go to the show room and now DH can be heard to moan multiple times a day 'I want my door'. He got his bonus this month and we realised that it was earmarked for things such as overpaying the mortgage and paying for the door in full. Nothing frivolous to be seen!

We are very excited about our door. Which made us feel old.
