I am a professional dog/house sitter and will be looking after 3 dogs from August 8th for 5 weeks in a place called Upton-upon-Severn in Worcestershire. I've not heard of it before but Google is showing me a pretty town.

The dogs who can be left on their own for up to 4 hours with a good walk beforehand. I will have a car. When housesitting in an area I've not visited before I like to make the most of my stay. Where should I visit? Where is good for taking the dogs?

It’s a lovely area and close to the Malvern hills, so you will find plenty of good walks.

Best of all, it has a Minge Lane.

Minge Lane? What? A lane of fannys? Prostitues?

Plenty of great walks around Upton near the River Severn. Malvern Hills a few miles away and Castlemorton common is near too

The Fire Station is on Minge Lane. Firefighters take great delight in that.

It's absolutely lovely! Close to Malvern and Worcester. Near the motorway. Beautiful and quiet!

Upton is lovely (though winters are an issue with flooding) and has some really nice places to eat. Def take the dogs up on the Malverns - my favourite is to park at British Camp as the kiosk has a really excellent range of ice cream (try Rachels sloe gin one), and walk up to the fort and then along the top. Croome Park (NT) has some really good walks round the parkland and is worth a visit for the Capability Brown landscape. Malvern is worth a visit, also Tewkesbury, Pershore (pretty georgian town centre, good riverside walk into Tiddsley Woods, several dog friendly cafes), Worcester (lovely Cathedral), Ledbury, Eastnor Castle - loads of places!

Thank you all. Are there any farm shops nearby?

More farm shops than you can shake a stick at! Clives Fruit Farm is just outside Upton and v good, theres a farmers market in Malvern (Peter Cooks bread is a must buy esp the cruffins), and Revills at Defford is really good (Darren has a great range of food, though you've missed asparagus season). If you eat meat, the bacon and pork chops at Stoulton farm shop are amazing and worth the extra distance though its good from Clives
