Help dd has locked herself out of her iPhone ..

DD 12 has forgotten the password for her iPhone. She apparently changed it to a pattern or shape type thing but can’t remember it.
iPhone locks itself for longer with each attempt
Have tried following online advice on what to do but nothing is working.
She doesn’t seem to have it backed up anywhere
It’s an iPhone 6
Any ideas?

Sorted it now. Friend took her to phone shop and they sorted it out
