Your one thing, you were born to do?

If there is one thing we are born to do, what is yours? I have no idea, what mine is.

Sleep. I'm part sloth

GlummyMcGlummerson · 01/08/2020 00:50

Eat. I love food and spend quite a lot of disposable income on it

pinkcattydude · 01/08/2020 01:05

Ooh yeah eat and sleep, if I didn’t get fat that’s literally all I would do. As I’m getting older the allure of sneaking off to sleep is beyond comprehension genuinely will abandon a weekend away if the sleeping situation is not great. Seriously I must now be old

Eat and sleep, obv. I can do 14 hours and still be knackered.

Other than that... choice of 2. Read or dance. Am a prolific one of both.

MrsTerryPratchett · 01/08/2020 01:08

Public speaking. Everyone else hates it so much and I'm good at it. I'll take that bullet. Plus I'm full of myself and like the sound of my own voice so there's that.

Travelling? I'd travel for a living if someone would pay me.

tabulahrasa · 01/08/2020 01:13

Read...

I can read really fast, I come out about 3 or 4 times faster than average in speed reading tests.

It’s not that useful though.

mrssunshinexxx · 01/08/2020 01:40

Be a mum

jessstan2 · 01/08/2020 01:53

Grow up I suppose.

Anordinarymum · 01/08/2020 02:00

I'm good at talking to strangers. I do it in shops or well anywhere really and I always thought I would have made a great 'front of house'.

Apart from that I enjoyed having and raising children.

I have never had the attention span to become expert at anything but I enjoy decorating and gardening and sewing but... only when I feel like it :)

Strokethefurrywall · 01/08/2020 02:06

Sing. I've got perfect pitch and an amazing voice, can pick up multiple instruments yadda yadda yadda. Not a boast, it's an innate talent I was born with.

My self promotion leaves a lot to be desired though mainly because I used to care too much what people thought of me, and now don't care enough!

I'm not a shy retiring type but just don't care about self promotion/fame/instagram.

Anordinarymum · 01/08/2020 02:08

I can mimic accents. I can only do it when I hear it though.

zeddybrek · 01/08/2020 02:42

Organising the fuck out of any event that involves less than 50 people. I'm very good at it but hate it so I have stopped offering to do these now.

lookatmememe · 01/08/2020 02:53

My family seem to think it's book and clean up after them!

Not sure what it might be as I never had the time to ponder it before 🤪

lookatmememe · 01/08/2020 02:54

Lol cook not book!

AgnesNaismith · 01/08/2020 03:03

To make other people extremely successful.

missmouse101 · 01/08/2020 03:03

Eating, no question. Also spelling properly.

lifestooshort123 · 01/08/2020 06:05

Being irritated by the misuse of the English language. I can lie on the sofa all day being appalled at the spelling and grammar on FB. It's exhausting having such a talent.

uglyface · 01/08/2020 06:36

I am an insanely fast reader. I’m also a very good teacher.

Can’t cook at all though, so it all evens out.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 01/08/2020 07:41

Travel. I spend some time every day thinking and planning about trips. Lockdown has been hard!

TheDoctorDances · 01/08/2020 08:50

Rescue and rehome animals. I’m into the thousands now.

Spinachfinger · 01/08/2020 17:36

@Anordinarymum

I can mimic accents. I can only do it when I hear it though.
This is also one of my traits. If I travel somewhere I pick up the accent just from hearing it around me.
DuckonaBike · 01/08/2020 17:39

My spelling is amazing.

I am also good at taking long baths.

legalseagull · 01/08/2020 17:42

To debate. I can argue a point very convincingly. I'm also great at sales - I could sell a snowball to an Eskimo

Zaphodsotherhead · 01/08/2020 17:43

Write evocatively and talk to people.

So, basically, I am great at rambling on, either on paper or in person.

SingleHandSue · 01/08/2020 17:45

Making sandwiches.

I’m a perfectionist when it comes to a good butty.
