If you have made your own masks, is there one that doesn't get up your nose?

If so please could you point me to the instructions? I have looked what feels like every YouTube video on mask making.

I find it difficult to breathe with something over my face but can't find one that doesn't make me feel stifled. I need a kind of nose tent that doesn't cling when I inhale.

Does it not depend on the fabric used? I've made the shaped ones ( rather than pleated) with three layers of a thicker cotton fabric. They keep their shape away from my nostrils even when I breathe in.

I’ve got some that are like solid stiff domes.

IndiaPlace, I find two layers of fabric very unpleasant so any more would be really bad, have Batik cotton double layered which keeps it's shape well but is a bit claustrophobic. I have problems with rooms without windows, low ceilings etc. so this is a similar kind of feeling.

Egghead 68, do you mean the ones that look like gas masks? I wondered about those.

Sorry my suggestion didn't help. The three layers of the cotton used is breathable for me and keeps its shape away from my nose.

I've sewn a paper clip into the top of mine so it tends to hang off my nose rather than up it!
