I guess this one is better value then. I have a cap on this imaginary win😃 www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/55666421?search_identifier=4e1acfdf77ba39c02fa04447168d859e

I'd want to keep their decorations and furniture for the most part, I really love what they've done, and the bathroom is downright adorable, but that kitchen the units and counter top are a surprising let down.

Twospaniels · 29/07/2020 17:53

Going completely the other way on budget, this cottage is adorable, so so pretty. I would live in it by myself with a cat and some crochet!

Actually, I might sack off the beautiful Soho property for this instead. Bit more space for the dog to run around in, y'know?

Twospaniels · 29/07/2020 17:56

And this is what you could get for £1.5M

Such a small house on a busy road- doesn't float my boat.

How about this near me

Pretty house but cannot believe the price! Down here on South Coast we have a detached house ,big garden and 2 reception rooms just shy of £400k! London eh!

ShesMadeATwatOfMePam · 29/07/2020 18:00

That's tiny for that price. Plus the front door opening straight into the living room? For £1.5 million!

speakout · 29/07/2020 18:02

OP a tip -ditch the iron.

I don't own an iron.

kezziethecat · 29/07/2020 18:03

It's beautiful. Exactly my style inside and such a lovely location.

Lardlizard · 29/07/2020 18:05

Oh I like it

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 29/07/2020 18:08

@GidgetGirl
Highgate is full of wealthy Russians; I suspect they are targeting that market

HeronLanyon · 29/07/2020 18:12

The soho 4.5 mill - amazing an 18th century townhouse survives there - think what it has seen ! I live as central and it’s no longer as quiet at weekends. I’d fear the noise on thurs-sat nights there.
My dream house is so amazing that I dare not lost it here because when I win the lottery this week I’d hate for it to have been snapped up. How mad is that !!!

Toilenstripes · 29/07/2020 18:32

[quote GidgetGirl]What's really amazing is that someone might consider paying £40mil for this absolute pile of ming.

That’s got Russian oligarch written all over it.

HeronLanyon · 29/07/2020 18:34

Oh that Highgate one is very unfortunate !

SockYarn · 29/07/2020 18:38

It's lovely. Really nicely done and a total antidote from monochrome. Fainting at the price though.

This isn't a million miles from me, costs £500k less than that wee London house and you'd have lottery money left over to go shopping.

GidgetGirl · 29/07/2020 18:43

Totally. Most of the properties I work on are ultra high-value London residences and the decor is invariably grim. Just extreme tackiness - twinkly LED carpets and TVs over the bath, etc etc. And the sofas! Good god, the sofas. Wealthy people have horrendous taste in sofas.

Mind you, my Swedish ex could never get over just how bad mainstream British sofa design was..

I expect that it's been designed for an Emirati or similar

Twospaniels · 29/07/2020 20:58

@ShesMadeATwatOfMePam
Were you referring to the tiny cottage I put on? It’s not £1.5M, it’s £124,000. I was just trying to show something lovely at the other end of the budget.

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 29/07/2020 21:13

If the budgets 1.5 mill then I’ll go for this one Wymondham
www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-55423419.html

(Actually I would move to Scotland but just showing the price difference for East Anglia compared to London)

Regulus · 29/07/2020 21:15

I love it, I've also found a house I need, and also need to win the lotto.

borntobequiet · 29/07/2020 21:21

Someone doesn’t understand the meaning of notorious.
