Face masks - spots and dry skin?

It may be coincidence but since I started wearing a mask in shops I have broke out in spots on my chin and the area around my mouth has become dry and cracked and is especially bad during the time I wear my mask.

I feel desperate to remove the mask and when I do I feel a need to moisturise that area. I have naturally dry skin anyway.

Does anyone else experience this and is there any suggestions to ease this?

I want to go shopping today but feeling like I don’t want to as the area is still dry and sore.

You could try applying some e.g. Vaseline on your skin to act as a barrier and moisturiser before putting on your mask. Also, perhaps try different masks in case the material of the one you have is irritating your skin. I'm going to try a soft cotton snood the next time I go to the shops, the sort bikers wear.

How much time have you been spending in shops?? I wouldn’t think popping into a supermarket for half an hour could cause that kind of issue.

I have had to wear facemasks in work for the past 3 months, I usually have good skin and have noticed I have been getting some blemishes also.
