I don't know if this is even the best category to put this in but I'll give it a shot!
Basically a close family member of mine has had a lady get in touch with him recently. She told him that he is the father of her now 5 year old child.
He did have sex with her a few times around 6 years ago but then she moved away and he didn't hear from her again. It was not a relationship more a fling (they did use contraception of whatever kind, I'm not sure) so he didn't think much of it, and knew nothing of a child. It was now so long ago since he knew her he's struggling to place exactly when he was with her, therefore if there's a possibility of him being father as he does know she was having casual sex with at least one other man at the time.
Anyway back to now, she got in touch on social media telling him about the child and that he is the father, and asking for financial contribution. He was happy to give towards the child, as well as get to know it, but he wants a DNA test. Few days later she totally changes her tone and says she doesn't want him to be part of the child's life etc then removes him from social media.
What I'm asking is, due to her making these allegations he is very keen to find out if he is the father of the child and being part of their life. If he was to go to a solicitor what is the likelyhood the court would order a DNA test to be taken due to her making these allegations? If anyone has any experience in this kind of thing it would be very greatly appreciated
