...which is small enough to go through the letterbox? I have a friend who has just escaped a DV situation and is not allowed to receive large parcels at the refuge where she is staying, but her little boy has hardly any toys as they had to leave in a hurry and I'd like to get him something . Willing to spend up to about £30. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Playmobil 1-2-3 (the younger yellow range, not the blue for older kids)

I'd send your friend the cash so she can take him shopping herself. Her child is only 2 so won't bother that you've not sent an actual present.

Wooden jigsaw puzzles
Orchard games. They are in quite small boxes.
Colouring book and crayons
I would probably get a little game, colour book and crayons and give her £20 in cash

He may not have many clothes(?) so a couple of t-shirt's (to accompany a toy) would probably be very gratefully received. My DS loves Paw Patrol and Fireman Sam and was overjoyed to receive clothes with his favourite characters on for his Birthday.

Actually through the letter box, that's tricky.

Crayola mess free colouring sheets? Although they're about A4 so maybe wouldn't fit with packaging.

Stickers
Activity books
Inflatable beach ball

Ooh modelling clay?

DS2 plays with hide and squeak eggs for ages but I've just tested and it doesn't fit though the letterbox.

He's got a book with magnets he can attach which he loves.

Could you re package up some Duplo in a jiffy bag or similar that could get squashed though the letterbox?

I think I'd wrap a book for him to open and send cash for her to take him to choose something.

Is she allowed to give the address of the refuge to you so you can post it?
