Has anyone else noticed that the weather forecast have been really inaccurate lately?

My phone, my Apple Watch, the BBC and the MetOffice has forecast glorious hot sunshine here today, but I’ve just put my washing out to dry and it’s gone dark, clouded over and started to rain! Last week there was a day where rain was forecast all day and it was hot and sunny. On Saturday it was forecast to be sunshine and showers and it was cloudy and dark with that horrible fine wet rain all day! Non stop!

This is happening more and more often I’ve noticed. Has Covid affected their ability to forecast the weather accurately or something? If I got my job that wrong that often I’d be sacked!

I have noticed that dry weather is forecast, so I make a plan to go hiking. And then in the early hours they change it to rain! Just say rain to begin with, it's easier all round.

And yes, July has been incredibly shit. The sun came out for a bit yesterday evening and I nearly passed out in shock. I can't remember the last time I saw it. Mind you, it was a heady 13 degrees all day yesterday so not exactly bikini weather.

Yes I have noticed this! I use met office and I check the weather daily and it's rarely right. I walk 3 miles to work so I check if there is going to be rain as I don't want to wear a coat unless I have to. The amount of times it has said no rain and it has rained or forecast rain and there hasn't been any is laughable. You can't even rely on looking out the window! It's forecast clear skies and sun today but it is cloudy and dull right now.
