Anyone else’s kid refuse to let the tooth fairy collect their tooth?

It’s her third tooth, the first she lost in school but the fairy found it and left her some money, second tooth she left it in a special pillow and was fine for the fairy to have it, this one however she wants to keep. I’m okay with that, said we will leave a note for the fairy to say she can’t take this one but just curious if anyone else’s kid has requested the same.

Yep!
I have a hoarded child who gets absolutely distraught, still despises me for giving away the cotbed to a homeless shelter!

We’re into double figures when it comes to the number of memory boxes we have Hmm

I wonder if your DD has an association with this particular one ie who she was with when it came out?

Yep, my mum's kid did Grin

Not sure why I was so distraught at the idea of the tooth fairy taking them. I used to write a note asking her to please leave them for me, so 'she' would take the tooth from under my pillow, replace it with a 50p and put it into a box on the bedside table. I wonder if mum has still got them ...

When I was younger I did this. Mum would always keep it in and put it in the special lace ‘tooth bag’.

Yep, mine did. Never heard of such a thing till herGrin Said she wanted the tooth fairy to take back her money (£1) and give her tooth back (first tooth at 5yrs). So the "tooth fairy" did, the next night. Since then, no more tooth fairiesGrin

She saved her fallen teeth in a clear bottle of solution (with lid) for 3years afterwards before deciding to chuck them.

Mine does too about a tent, teepee and toy ride along she'd outgrown. We talked about it and she accepted before I gave them away to friends (tent and teepee) and charity (car) cos we were moving. So it wasn't as though I did it without her knowledge. Still blames me to this day - 5 years on!

I used to keep mine too! Once I forgot to leave the note or the tooth fairy accidentally took it (I suspect it was not my usual tooth fairy, perhaps the male one - I sometimes got much more money for my teeth than other times haha) and I was so upset but then my dad "found" it by the back door and said maybe she dropped it on her way out!!

No idea what happened to all those old teeth! I think I just found them interesting!

Realitybites21 Yep mines a bit of a hoarder too, she doesn’t get it from me that’s for sure lol I love a good clear out. She even wants to keep rubbish but I put my foot down with that. She was up in her room when it happened, and we are still shielding so no one special to be there when it came out so not sure it’s that. She doesn’t even like when I donate old clothing to charity, she insists on trying to squeeze into it. Hoping she grows out of it all lol

It’s so nice seeing all the cute comments about kids keeping their teeth. I love that the tooth fairy brought one back lol, adorable.
