Trying to plan a holiday as I've received a small windfall.
We never usually go on family holidays - we love a long way from our elderly parents and siblings and tend to visit them in school holidays, or they come to us.
I'd really like to take the kids on a holiday like I used to have as a child, at least once! My budget is only £1k for the booking though (with spending money on top, so the £1k is for accommodation and travel).
I'm finding it hard to find something I like for this summer. Autumn half term is also a possibility I suppose.
I'd love to take the kids to somewhere in Europe (perhaps France as we speak a little French and DS is about to start learning it at school) - but with coronavirus going on, not sure if this is a good idea right now.
WWYD - carry on trying to find somewhere for this summer, or autumn half term - or book a European holiday for next year?
