Mine is Regatta de Blanc by The Police - was 13 and played it over and over and over!!

Listening to it now and wishing this year/pandemic/face masks/social distancing didn't exist!

Changes David Bowie. To the point there was a slight scratch and so it jumped in the middle of John I'm only Dancing. I still wait for the jump when listening on Spotify.

Also, Born in the USA, there is not a bad track on that album.

Nevermind Nirvana or Come on Feel the Lemonheads.
Not so much sick of adulthood, they just take me back in time whenever I listen to them.

Veterinari · 16/07/2020 22:10

Pulp, different class

The Offspring - Ixnay on the Hombre

My dad got me a Sony Discman for my birthday and i listened to that album so many times on the walk to and from 6th form. I miss that time.

CatBatCat · 16/07/2020 22:17

@MissDai5y I was going to say Smash or Americana Grin

ByAllMeansMoveAtAGlacialPace · 16/07/2020 22:21

AND I'N HERE, TO REMIND YOU OF THE MESS YOU MADE WHEN YOU WENT AWAY.

Always Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette.

MrBandFritz · 16/07/2020 22:25

Parallel Lines - Blondie
Kings of the Wild Frontier - Adam and the Ants

Exploring · 16/07/2020 22:25

That might explain why I've been digging out music from my teens, though I've realised one song I'd totally not understood at the time, and one Lemonheads song I've only just worked out the lyrics, it seems I must have made up a word back then 😂

WhiskersPete · 16/07/2020 22:42

Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
The Offspring - Americana

Flymetothetoon · 16/07/2020 23:16

One positive thing listening to my music (earphones of course) is the husband has taken his farting arse to the spare room - result!🤑

Same one for me, reminds me of a specific much nth very clearly.

Had totally forgotten the Lemonheads, going to listen to that tomorrow!

DrWAnker · 17/07/2020 04:19

Evan Dando was just so beautiful 😍

How could I have forgotten them so completely??

The Levellers-Levelling the Land, 3 notes in and I'm 16 again getting ready to go out on a Saturday night Grin

LionLily · 17/07/2020 04:51

Wham - Fantastic. I had a Saturday job on the record desk in Woolies, coolest job ever, spend much of the time playing this, then sneaking into The White Lion after work for a cinzano and lemonade, the epitome of wild living at 15.
Duran Duran - Rio. I fell truly madly deeply in love that summer and was forced to go on hols with the family. Spent much of the time on the beach with my Walkman, staring moodily out to sea listening to Save a Prayer. The Walkman eventually broke and I eventually married the boy.

LizTaylorsFabulousTurban · 17/07/2020 05:59

Like a Virgin, Madonna. My tape broke because I played it so much. It instantly takes me back.

Camomila · 17/07/2020 08:12

Frank Turner - Love Ire and Song.
Reminds me of uni, DH introduced me to him, he was my university boyfriend.

Camomila · 17/07/2020 08:13

(DH was! not Frank Turner)
