Have your own opinions on face masks, but don't be rude...

Being only just post radio and chemo for the second time in five years I stay indoors as much as I can,I look semi shocking, (think washed out but getting there.......slowly)

We live in the sticks, I drive my DS, where he needs to go, without getting out of the car.

I barely visit supermarkets thanks to Tesco deliveries, ( the odd single item, in and out)... today I went to M&S (Meadows) at the lowest point (IMO) of the day to collect some stuff, I needed to head to the balcony, as I had a trolley I used the lift, with my face mask/ snood firmly in place (for my benefit, as much as theirs..)

I moved quickly out of the lift, to let someone in a wheelchair ( who looked more poorly than me TBH ) access the space, as he entered the lift (without a mask or a thank you) he snarled at me...............who the fuck do you think you are ?? The Lone Fucking Ranger? I resisted the urge to dump my trolley and hop on the escalator and beat him to the ground floor and tell him how shit my life has been for the last five years.

Be grateful, because if I had started, I wouldn't have stopped, if you are mask averse be so,but do so silently, don't judge people who are making their own judgement calls.

Okay, not going to lie, but I read the title and thought this was going to be a thread about face masks, the ones you use after a shower. Now I'm kinda disappointed we're not all going to be sharing our deepest, darkest skin care secrets...

Sorry to hear about what you’ve gone through. However I don’t think you’ve quite hit your target audience here. I doubt the knob who you saw is on this forum. And tbh he sounds like a thoroughly nasty prick regardless of the mask; you’re definitely not the first person he’s seen in a mask, he just wanted to use anything to pick on you because that’s the type of person he is. Your mask wasn’t the issue.

I don’t mind anyone in face masks - I wear them myself, so I certainly wouldn’t pass any nasty comments to strangers. I’d just be happy to see you wearing one.

@Mnhealth202020

You are 100% correct, however the mind dump was cathartic, so thank you so much for listening. xx
