Pure cotton school uniform - what happened to M&S SkinKind?

DS needs new school trousers - he really only can wear 100% cotton ones - we used to get him M&S SkinKind but they don't seem to make them any more!

Eco Outfitters are £££ and John Lewis has some but about twice the price (i.e. the same price for one pair as M&S used to be for a two pack).

Debenhams are still doing pure cotton polos thankfully as are M&S but Debenhams have stopped doing pure cotton sweatshirts it seems - indeed nowhere seems to do them at all - have most schools moved to v-neck jumpers??

Have they sold out rather than not doing them?

We used to have to get them early in April/early June time on-line but sometimes some years we could find them in M&S bigger stores. So If there are any near you might be worth poping in and asking.

Never understood why they didn't stock more as every year they sold out really early.

Otherwise we paid more on eczema school clothings sites - they were more expensive but did last well.

Thankfully DS has massively improved so not longer need to soucre 100% cotton school uniform.

I checked in about May/June but there wasn't anything then either. They have shorts left in pure cotton but no trousers, at all, all the boys' trousers are polyester blend (good luck getting DS to wear that!)

Debenhams have a few sizes left of their cotton sweatshirts in some colours which looks to me like "we aren't making this any more". The M&S range that is left (shorts, girls' dresses, not much else) also looks like this, unfortunately.

I've been looking for these to.
In case it helps anyone Sainsbury's make 100%cotton cardigans, haven't looked for jumpers but might be worth a look. Cardies are £9 for 2. And h&m conscious range do polo shirts, finding white polo shirts without 'stay white' or 'stain guard' is hard!
I hadn't looked at Debenhams so thanks for the tip.

Next have 100% cotton polo shirts and 80% cotton sweatshirts. Lands End have dark grey 100% cotton pull on trousers. They are not specifically “school uniform” but they would pass muster at my DC’s schools.

Ebay search 100% organic cotton sweatshirt. I get my son cotton chinos for school (last pair from Asda £15). Unfortunately at 15 he is now in men's sizes. Asda also did black cotton trousers up to age 14.

A lot of places seem to do pure cotton cardigans, which DD does need but I don't think I'll have much luck getting DS to wear them. He's less bothered about jumpers/sweatshirts being 100% cotton though.
Cotton polos are relatively easy to find as well. It's the trousers that are a pain!

Those Lands End trousers look like he'd wear them (and get away with them) but only available in a much larger size in grey! Aaargh!

I've got him chinos from Gap before but they were £££ also (I was desperate, he'd grown out of everything and even Eco Outfitters were OOS).

And here's similar to those grey trousers but much too small!

I'm going to have to shell out for JL for trousers I think. I've bought two sizes in the hope that the larger ones don't fall off him and can last a while.

@drspouse, smaller sizes in the LE trousers, if you choose “Little Boy” in the size range.

Sadly he's 8 so between the two size ranges that are available.

Just found these (look very similar to the ones my lad used to wear). www.mandco.co.uk

Those are about JL price - and yes I know school uniform prices are probably low at some retailers because they don't pay the factor workers properly...
