My dog biscuits were on the floor and my mums dog chewed a whole in the bag now I have a mouse my friend has offered to bring his hunting ferret down can I ask how bad is it? I have traps on the way tomorrow but I'm scared stiff of mice and even worse if it's a rat. Will it suffer a lot if I bring the ferret down or will the humane trap work?

No ex she cut the door too big and I leaned something heavy against it.

Honestly, @Theodoreb, it's very unlikely the mice are moving about your home via the doors. Think teeny tiny holes. They may come up from under the floor, down the chimney void or travel along pipework. Camera traps are a really good idea.

This isn't meant to be alarming you, by the way. I'm sure you're probably not infested, but it's just likely they'll be using their own tiny, stealthy ways to get access.

I have the humane traps so going to try them tonight I really hope it's gone I've lived here ten years and never had a problem until I left that dog food open on the floor.

Sorry just really really want to believe it's gone I'm absolutely petrified of them always have been and always had dogs so don't think they came in when I had a big dog but now my boy sadly passed away a month ago and hadn't got rid of his bag of food as was too upset to.
