This is lovely. It reminds me of a house I saw on a TV drama in the 90s 'Coming Home' it was based on Rosamund Pilcher's novel about two friends at boarding school. One lived in a house like this and invited her friend to stay who was orphaned. I was so jealous of the huge girls bedroom with en suite 🙂

Lovely but a bit big. You'd need staff to manage it and I wouldn't want that.

bettsbattenburg · 12/07/2020 11:21

Oh that's true about the staff. It also doesn't have a swimming pool which is a bit of a disadvantage.

That is one lovely house. Although just furnishing it appropriately would be such a task.
It would make a fantastic house for a multigenerational or blended family. So much space for everyone.
And so cheap compared to south east prices for tiny boxes.
But what I particularly love is the drive. What a thrill to turn in through the electrically operated gates at the end of the day.
But it would be wasted on just me and DH so I wont put in a bid for it.

Disfordarkchocolate · 12/07/2020 11:32

It's lovely. So much house for the price.

RippleEffects · 12/07/2020 11:38

Am I reading this correct, its a semi detatched with some garden and land but the grounds are communal?

RebeccaCloud9 · 12/07/2020 11:38

Why is it so cheap????

RippleEffects · 12/07/2020 11:39

Looking at the images vs floor plans, it may be more mid terrace.

RippleEffects · 12/07/2020 11:48

Looking at the sold nearby there are masses of properties attached/ in the complex. Flats, stables, barns, mews, lanterns, coach house, sion house 2 etc.

picklemewalnuts · 12/07/2020 11:50

Lovely, but a little clichéd perhaps. And when their furniture goes, it will take a lifetime to replace.

TroysMammy · 12/07/2020 11:56

As soon as I saw the staircase I thought "I'm in". I would spend hours walking up and down it dragging my hands along the bannisters, sitting on the steps, bumping down on my bum. Oh the enjoyment I could have.
