Please help sciatica has me sobbing

2 and half weeks. Not improving. Keep ringing GP they keep prescribing more naproxen and codeine but they're not making any difference. can almost not walk now it's so painful. Home alone now. tried hot water bottles, lying on back with knees up (best position). Rang 111 yesterday they ended up making me appt with my gp who prescribed more codeine. Dont know what else to do.

Found details of where I've been referref to for MRI. Very weary person on the phone said minimum wait of 8 weeks as they have so much of a backlog. Awful.

So I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and go private. There is no way I'm waiting anything like 8 weeks. So at least I have a plan.

A very lovely friend came round and massaged my calves and feet (my right calf is cramping most of the time) which was so lovely. And she bought me books and ice cream.

Ex has decided not to go away next weekend (well wed- sun) which I'm so relieved about, but rubbish for him - group of good friends. But there's no way I can cope looking after me and kids.
