What's the point in getting out of bed

Been awake 2 hours. No plans all weekend apart from ex wanting to meet up and I'm not sure that's a good idea. House is a mess, no motivation to sort it out.

You'll feel much better once you've had a quick tidy up, run the hoover round, put the washing machine on and then sit in the sunshine with a cup of coffee Smile,

To get a coffee that you can take back to bed and enjoy?

Lonelylockdown22 · 11/07/2020 08:42

Get off your arse, jump in the shower, tidy up for half an hour, then please yourself for the rest of the day
You'll feel better for it

The point for me is to stay healthy and keep going. I have to get up and do something or I'll get hugely depressed and stop sleeping too.

However, one duvet day once in a while isn't a bad thing.

How are you doing OP?

Meh, sometimes you just need a duvet day. The important thing if you're going to do it is to not feel guilty about it - if it's what you need then make that choice. Bin off meeting up with the ex, make this weekend entirely yours.

Alternatively, if you can't get it out your head that you need to get up and do stuff, then have a shower, pick one thing you're going to do, and then give yourself permission afterwards to sit down for the rest of the day if that's what you feel like.

You don't need to be productive to have a good day :) be kind to yourself
