Passport photos by phone?

So how do you do this? I'm in another county. I need to check how good his phone camera is?

I've just always done it by photo booth. Not used to doing it by phone.

When you apply online and take a picture with your phone it comes up right away whether the picture is poor, fair or good. It took us an hour and a half to get a "good" picture it was driving me mad! Anyway take the picture in daylight with a white background and no flash. You'll soon find out if the camera is good enough!

Good luck!!

Oh does it - that's brilliant, thank you.

And no smiles!!

It’s dead easy or I wouldn’t have been able to do it. You can have your photo taken at a photo booth and then upload it to the site. (Needs to be a booth photo that comes with a code though ).

Although most countries insist on a pure white background for passport photos, it is likely to get rejected for a UK passport. The background colour should be either cream or light grey.

Oh gosh - that's going to be on a back burner for a while I've got other things to get on with.

It's such a fucking nuisance he can't just get on with it himself.

We had a big bit of white craft foam which we used as a background for dd to get her UK adult passport and it was fine. We had a code for a photo booth photo but we were warned when we tried to put it in that it was likely to be rejected so rather than pay again we just used a phone.
