Which vitamin would you say is ‘better?’

Just looking at two different brands of kids vitamin and wondering which one you think is better? Vitamin A is the same in both but the left hand vits have 100per cent of the recommended daily dose of the rest of the vitamins they contain which is good but the left hand one has other vitamins and minerals that the first doesn’t contain - but only 50 per cent of recommended daily dose. Which do you think is better if just looking for a general vitamin?

The one that your kids will reliably take on a daily basis! DD really likes the Bassetts chewies and will ask for one if I forget.

They are happy with either. Just wondered if anyone thought one particular one is better than the other.

Anyone have an opinion on which one may be the best vitamin?

Not sure if it makes a difference but the one on the right says the %s are of an adults daily recommended intake. Surely childrens recommended amounts would be less, so actually the %s would be higher if you're looking at giving it to a child?

Needtobepositive · 13/07/2020 19:27

Oh I hadn’t noticed that! So the 50 per cent would actually be a higher amount for a child. I guess that means the one on the right is better for them as includes more vitamins and minerals. Cheaper too!

We get the one on the right as there is no gelatine but there is iron.

I find it hard to know which is best with multivits, I tend to have a few packs on the go and give a different one sometimes to vary how much they get of each vitamin/mineral.
The most popular one here at the mo is Sainsbury's chewable multivit which is great as it's only £1.50 per pack!

Hyperion100 · 13/07/2020 21:03

The cheapest one...or none at all. Vitamins are a con job.

Needtobepositive · 13/07/2020 21:21

@Hyperion100 I’m not sure they are a con. My youngest dietician said it’s important for her to take a multi vit so I would think they have some benefit!
