Where do you love to eat in Barcelona?

DP and I have just booked Barcelona for mid-August and really hoping we can go. We chose it because we’ve both been loads before so no need to do any sightseeing, we’ll be very happy lying by the pool/beach and eating and drinking for a few days.

I’ve booked a couple of our old favourite restaurants but looking for some inspiration for new places to try. We love places that have got a great atmosphere, maybe on a rooftop or somewhere really beautiful. We usually do a couple of the beach clubs that turn into restaurants at night where you can also smoke shisha and enjoy some cocktails after dinner. Also nothing super fancy, I love any kind of food but DP is more of a steak and chips kind of guy.

We’re staying at the H10 Urquinaona Plaza so very central to pretty much everything Smile

I love Sensi and Sensi gourmet, and Vinateria de Calle (sp?)

However I'd be v cautious booking anything as parts of Catalonia appear to be going into a new lockdown due to increase in covid cases again. We are booked for September but are preparing for it to be cancelled Sad

Buenos Aires Grill - the steak there was beyond incredible. No idea if it's still there but if it is, go!

It's still there! Honestly, never eaten such incredible steak anywhere else in the world. (Apologies if you're vegetarian).

This place is awesome for burgers, chips and cocktails. The best burger I have ever had. Very cool laid back Vibes by the beach.

This is of no help at all because I don't know what the place was called but you've just reminded me of a salad I had in Barcelona. It came with a chunk of goat's cheese but they caramelised honey/sugar so it had a sweet, crunchy top layer like creme brûlée.

Sigh... that was 6 years ago and I'd go back just for that Grin

Oohh @FudgeBrownie2019 that looks great! Also interesting to see they have a branch in Sitges. We’re hoping to do a day trip there if we do get to go (obviously Covid permitting)

I had pinxtos for the 1st time in Barcelona and loved it. Not near the sea, but this was our favourite. Says its currently closed though, so unsure if thats due to covid or permanently. There was another 2 doors up which was also good.:

Have only had cocktails here rather than food...but for a late night vintage atmosphere that I just loved, try Boca Chica. There's the Boca Grande restaurant downstairs but head up in the elevator to the bar for cocktails and snacks bocagrande.cat/en/boca-chica

@thatcarolebaskinbitch if you’re staying anywhere nearby I really recommend this place for Peruvian food and the best cocktails I’ve had - restaurantsescriba.com/lapicanteriaescriba/en/

No idea what it’s called. Bottom of Las Ramblas. Cross the road and onto the footbridge. Restaurant is upstairs in the shopping centre. Good paella.
