Don't know whether to laugh or be cross with my DH over this. On Friday I had a hospital appointment- a review after some surgery. I'm having a lot of trouble with tingling and shooting pains around the scar. The surgeon suggested that rubbing local anaesthetic cream into the area can help. He advised the stuff that they put on children before blood tests etc but said that they don't give prescriptions for it as you can now buy it over the counter. OK, no problem with that.
So DH went out to get some next day, with the name written on a piece of paper so he didn't forget. But did he get it? Obviously not, or I wouldn't be writing this post, but can you guess what he got instead?
Haemorrhoid cream.
Well it does have some local anaesthetic in it, and it was much cheaper apparently.
It put me in mind of the "worst supermarket substitutions" thread on here but I thought my own husband might do better! I guess I'm not worth it!
