I’m so worried . His wife phoned early this morning to say he was rushed in some time yesterday/last night unwell - they think some sort of gallbladder thing. He’s looking at emergency surgery . He’s awake and talking apparently but what a fright I got this morning waking up to messages from his wife .
He’s in his 60s and he’s overweight, and whilst I know from my own job a gallbladder removal is pretty bread and butter for GI he’s in Asia, no family with him and he’s ill . With corona even if we could get there I don’t suppose we’d be allowed anywhere near the hospital . Thankfully his country doesn’t have many covid cases at all; they’ve said the risk is us being from the UK .
My parents divorced some 25 years ago . We’ve only had a real kind of relationship (dad and I) for the last two and a half years . I desperately don’t want anything to happen to him and I’m so worried .
I’m right aren’t I, that gallbladder surgeries are an everyday thing and most folk recover fine? I’ve had a couple of friends’ kids who had the op and most of them have recovered OK, but they were young athletic lads in their twenties ...
