If you hope to go away this summer

What will you do if you are supposed to be self isolating because either you have symptoms or you've been contacted by contact tracers?

I know opinion is split on whether travelling this summer is a good thing, but if you're one of the people planning to book something, are you doing it happy in the knowledge that there will be no refunds or insurance payouts if you can't go because you or someone in your household is obliged to self isolate?

We’re not going abroad, but have a holiday cottage booked in the UK.
We’re planning to stay as far away from other people as possible for the 2 weeks before we go! Meaning a) we shouldn’t be contacted by tracers and b) we shouldn’t have symptoms of anything. If anyone in the household does have symptoms they can be tested very quickly now.
