I had a tooth extraction yesterday. The whole process was horrific frankly and I'm still in a lot of pain with a lovely throbbing swollen jaw.
This is normal isn't it? How long does this pain last? It's as bad as the original toothache.

Hmmm it could be this

"Dry socket (alveolar osteitis) is a painful dental condition that sometimes happens after you have a permanent adult tooth extracted. Dry socket is when the blood clot at the site of the tooth extraction fails to develop, or it dislodges or dissolves before the wound has healed."

It's sooooo fucking painful it's mentioned in the what pain is worse than childbirth thread.

Have a google at the symptoms.

It took a week and several ulcers before my mouth felt better.
