link go BBC article saying kids under 12 don't have to aocisllt distance from Friday

This is huge news; it seems a bit underplayed! Or am i misunderstanding.

Also, at what time on Friday morning could I drop off DD in their garden without being rude? Grin

No I think all those aged 11 and under don’t need to socially distance and therefore could hug each other but not others outwith that age group. I’ll be honest though my 14 year old has hugged his gran as as he was getting really upset about the whole thing and this has actually made a huge difference to him

Very clear.

Yes hugs are allowed now! Get dropping them off 😂 To be honest as soon as garden visits were allowed we allowed our children to see grandparents without socially distancing (not vulnerable quite young grandparents) and I think quite a few in my street have done similar looking at visitors etc though adults are being very by the book still.

Thanks all. I saw NS's tweet earlier so yay! We've been quite observant so my mum is desperate to cuddle DD. Obviously there's now going to be several days of torrential rain so she'll have to wait til Monday!

Sorry Blankiefan I didn’t realise the wee ones could now hug grandparents - to be honest it’s all getting a bit confusing- so many rules!!! 😫😫
